Oprah Nkera

Current: Undergraduate student - Harvard College

Oprah Nkera is a first-year student at Harvard College studying Bioengineering and planning to minor in Sociology. She grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, and found her passion for science and research through a summer program at Biogen. Oprah cares deeply about making STEM fields more accessible and equitable, especially for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Outside of class, she loves reading, baking, roller skating, and playing tennis. She also volunteers with the Phillips Brooks House Association and is a YES for CURE Scholar at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
